When to see your doctor first
Osteopathy is not a replacement for medical care. See your doctor or go to an emergency department if you have severe or sudden pain, pain after a serious fall or accident, numbness in the groin area, loss of bladder or bowel control, unexplained weight loss, or a fever with back pain.
If something in your assessment suggests a problem that needs medical investigation, you'll be told and referred.
